What Is the Difference between CBSE and ICSE Board?

Schools in India mostly follow the competitive boards that are ICSE and CBSE which apparently have more scope and better academic standards. Both boards have unique qualities that vary, yet they both try to give youngsters the greatest academic values possible. Check official website for more information.

CBSE

Central Board of Secondary Education is considered to be one of the most significant institution systems for senior secondary and secondary education boards.

Under the present Indian educational system, CBSE administers two sets of tests:  – AISSCE  and the All India Secondary School Examination. Both the former and the latter are often referred to as the 10th and 12th board examinations.

 ICSE

Indian certificate secondary education with the abbreviation ICSE is run by the Indian council of school certificate examinations which is an important academic body accepted by many schools. The Anglo-Indian Council and the CISCE adopted the Cambridge IGCSE syllabus that was popular during the British era. For all grades, ICSE is regarded as being complex. Because of this, the ICSE class 10th and 12th annual exams are regarded as the most difficult board examinations.

Pedagogy:

The goal of CBSE is to provide its learners with a solid foundation that would enable them to do well in a variety of competitive tests. More focus is placed on laboratory and project assignments in ICSE.
Examinations: If you wish to take medical admission exams, CBSE is preferred. Exams like the TOEFL are prepared for by ICSE.
Scholarships: The CBSE runs a number of Talent tests and awards its pupils with a range of scholarships. While institutions are permitted to do so on their own, the ICSE doesn’t really offer scholarships to its pupils.

Easy Transfers: Since so many institutions in India are associated with the CBSE, it is simple for a student to switch institutions for a different academic year.

ICSE connections are lower than CBSE affiliations.
